What is an expansion joint?
Compensators are also customarily called expansion joints or bellows. They consist of a bellows (an elastic element) which forms the main body of the compensator and accessories such as end pipes, supports, flanges, and guide pipes. They are a type of compensation element.

Classification of Metal Flexible Tubes
Metal conduit (English name: Metal Conduit) is made of 304 stainless steel or 301 stainless steel, and is used as a protective tube for wires, cables, and automation instrument signal wires and cables. The specifications range from 3mm to 150mm. Extra-small diameter metal conduits (inner diameter 3mm-25mm) are mainly used for the protection of sensor lines in precision optical scales and industrial sensor lines. They have good flexibility, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, and tensile strength.
Characteristics of Metal Flexible Tubes
Because the main components of the hose are made of austenitic stainless steel, the hose is guaranteed to have excellent temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. The hose has an extremely wide operating temperature range of -196-600 ℃. The stainless steel grade used for the hose should be selected according to the corrosiveness of the medium flowing through the pipe to ensure the corrosion resistance of the hose.
Structure of a metallic flexible hose
A flexible hose generally consists of three main parts: a corrugated tube, a mesh sleeve, and a connector.
Principle of metal hose
Installation Stress of Pipelines In complex pipeline systems, various difficulties often arise in installation work due to spatial constraints: prefabricated pipes cannot be installed; because it can be bent arbitrarily and the internal stress generated under the rated bending radius is minimal, it can greatly facilitate installation work and play a certain role in ensuring the operation of the pipeline system. This is the main reason why some pipeline systems must use metal flexible hoses. Compensating for Pipeline Position The excellent comprehensive performance of metal flexible hoses is fully demonstrated here. In general industrial fields, in addition to pressure and temperature, there are often some harsh conditions such as fatigue, corrosion, vibration, compression, and impact. Under such circumstances, it is appropriate to use it to compensate for the positional movement of pipelines. Absorbing Vibration It can absorb vibration, which not only improves the system's fatigue resistance. Some pipeline systems use metal flexible hoses for this reason.
Characteristics and Applications of Plastic-coated Metal Flexible Tubes
Plastic-coated metal flexible conduits are made by covering the inner and outer walls of stainless steel and galvanized metal flexible conduits with a layer of PVC material for cables. Plastic-coated metal flexible conduits are mainly used as protective conduits for wires, cables, and automated instrument signals. They have good flexibility, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, and tensile strength.

Performance and Application of Metal Flexible Tubes
Metal hoses possess excellent flexibility, fatigue resistance, high-temperature resistance, high and low-temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance! Metal hoses have four basic properties: (1) Excellent weather resistance. Long-term use shows no aging or degradation, no cracks or peeling due to aging. (2) Excellent heat resistance. Temperature-resistant products can be used in the temperature range of -193 to 350 degrees Celsius; high-temperature resistant materials have a wider temperature range. (3) High pressure resistance. Due to the use of high-quality stainless steel, a hose with an inner diameter of 10mm can withstand a pressure of 20Mpa; a hose with an inner diameter of 300mm can withstand a pressure of 1Mpa. (4) Long lifespan. The fatigue life of the improved corrugated metal hose during repeated bending is more than 4 times that of the standard product. Application of Metal Hoses: Widely used in steam, gas, air, heavy oil, petroleum, chemicals, etc.
Installation instructions and precautions for metal compensators
Metals are defined in contrast to non-metallic compensators. Common types include axial compensators, sleeve compensators, and universal joint compensators. These compensators share a common characteristic: their primary elastic element is generally a bellows. By compressing, extending, or even squeezing the bellows, they compensate for displacement in multiple directions, including axial, lateral, and angular directions of the pipeline. Taking the most common axial internal pressure bellows compensator as an example, it is the ancestor of most pipeline compensators. This is because most current compensators are developed based on its structure; therefore, it features mature production technology.
Water swelling rubber waterstop expansion time
Water-swelling rubber waterstop is a kind of rubber waterstop product made of imported special rubber as the main raw material, combined with inorganic water-absorbing materials, high-viscosity resin and more than ten other special materials through intensive mixing, mixing, and extrusion.
